Polyester is a synthetic fabric that is usually derived from petroleum. It has become one of the world’s most popular textiles, and it is used in thousands of consumer and industrial applications. Polyester fibres are often blended with natural fibres to combine their properties in one textile. For example, cotton-polyester blends can be durable, wrinkle- and tear-resistant and reduce shrinking issues. Our recycled polyester is made from recycled PET bottles or textile waste. Its production needs less energy, less CO2 emissions and less water than virgin polyester. This saves valuable natural resources and reduces the pressure on our planet. We never compromise on quality and only use recycled polyester that guarantees the same fibre strength and technical features as virgin polyester. CARE

As always, please consult the care label on your product, as it may contain specific guidance due to colour, print, construction or end-use.

Polyester can usually be machine-washed. We recommend not washing above 40° Celsius, in most cases 30° Celsius is enough and always more eco-friendly.

If the label indicates handwash, we generally recommend using the “handwash” cycle of your machine instead of manual handwash because of the risk of damaging your garment. If you hand wash, we recommend a low temperature, a mild detergent and very gentle movements. Be careful not to rub the garments too intensely.

All methods of drying are suitable for polyester. However, we always recommend air drying as it is kinder on your garments and the planet. Synthetic fabrics in bright colours fade when exposed to the sun so we recommend to leave your garments in a dimly lit room to dry. Polyester garments can get damaged by exposure to high heat, so avoid high temperatures in the tumble dryer.

Polyester in general does not wrinkle much. If you choose to iron your garment, do so at a low temperature or use a steamer. To minimise the need for ironing, synthetic garments should be hung immediately after drying.

Polyester does not absorb moisture well and is very sensitive to heat. Sweat can leave stains and if not cleaned properly can cause discolouration over time.
