It is with great pleasure that we present you the Season Impact Report for our Spring/Summer 2023 Collection. Our goal is to provide you with insights into our efforts to create our designs in a more environmentally and socially responsible manner. Discover where we currently stand.
MATERIALS
When selecting our materials, we place a strong emphasis on minimizing our ecological footprint and ensuring durability. That's why our design team continuously seeks out premium fabrics that not only meet our high-quality standards but are also produced in a more environmentally friendly manner. The most commonly used fibers in our products, such as viscose and acetate, are derived from cellulose, primarily obtained from wood. A key consideration in this process is ensuring that the wood used originates from sustainably managed forests. Consequently, we consistently source viscose and acetate fibers exclusively from producers rated with the 'Green Shirt.' These producers have undergone audits by independent bodies and have been recognized by the forest protection organization Canopy as leaders in responsibly sourcing forest materials.
Share of lower impact materials
We achieved a 6% improvement compared to last season. For S/S 2023, 78% of our styles are composed mostly (>50%) of A or B materials, whereas in A/W 2022, it was 72%.
Our goal is to progressively increase the proportion of A and B materials from one season to the next, and our Preferred Material Framework serves as our guide in this endeavor.

Share of fiber types
We used 5% fewer fossil-based fibers. In our S/S 2023 collection, only 24% of the fibers used were fossil-based synthetics like polyester, compared to 29% in the previous season.

INCLUSIVITY
We are extremely proud. Finally, in Spring/Summer 2023, we are offering a variety of styles ranging from size 32 to 52. This has been a significant project that our pattern makers and product developers have been working on for many months. Grading, the process of increasing and decreasing the size of a pattern, is quite complex. With this accomplishment, we have taken a big step forward toward our goal of creating timeless silhouettes for diverse body types. Find our extended sizes here.

FOOTPRINT
In the second half of 2022, the shipping and returns of your orders, the use of our webshop, and the business air travel of our employees resulted in a total of 37.65 tons of CO2 emissions. This amount is 3.4 times the average per capita CO2 emissions in Germany (11.2 tons).*
Once again, we have offset these emissions through our partnership with Klima-Kollekte . These offset contributions support projects that integrate climate protection and development cooperation, with a particular focus on renewable energy and energy efficiency. One of these projects is 'Renewable Energies with Biogas in Kolar, India.' Across 915 villages, 38,615 families have come together to form so-called 'Coolie Sangha' units. As part of the climate protection project, the Agricultural Development and Training Society (ADATS), in collaboration with the Coolie Sanghas, has successfully constructed 18,000 biogas units, each with a capacity of about 2m³, benefiting families in rural areas.
